Texas School for the Deaf Foundation's Diamond Gala • May 8, 2014

A couple months ago, a couple friends of mine mentioned the gala and that they needed a photographer.  I was more than interested in participating in this wonderful event, benefiting the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation. I could not pass up this great opportunity.  Once Charles and I arrived, we could not believe how gorgeous the ballroom was, sprinkled with diamonds and cowboy boots.  It was a very enjoyable night, complete with great silent auction items, food prepared by the Texas School for the Deaf Culinary students under the direction of the Hilton Diamond Chef, Mark Dayanandan, fun live auction, moving speech by one of the TSD moms, plus photobooth fun and of course, fantastic entertainment provided by Jo Rose Benfield and TSD's own alumnus Russell Harvard!

Charles and I appreciated the opportunity!  To see the COMPLETE photo gallery, go here. Enjoy the highlights below! - KCD

The Wilson-Patten wedding was one of the best Charles and I have attended.  They are two of the FUNNIEST people we know.  And that equaled tons of wedding fun.  You may remember them from the engagement photoshoot we did early spring of 2013. Thank you Maria and Trevor for having us at your wedding - it was perfection!  To see the entire photo album, go here.

The Brazarre • May 25, 2013

A neighbor who happened to be one of the bra artists was looking for a photographer who would be willing to donate time and talent to this event, benefiting American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  I couldn't miss the opportunity.  Right away, I was able to get in touch with the Brazarre committee and shortly after, I was given the gig.  I was pretty excited to be able to contribute to such a great cause.

The event was held last May at G Gallery and Liberty Kitchen donated truly delicious hors d'oeuvres.   Robin Kirby & Friends and Grifters & Shills provided fantastic music.  It was a great event and I met so many fun folks!  I never knew bras and concept of bras could be used as art in so many different ways.  I applaud all the artists for their amazing work!

I'll never forget this gig.  Check out the pics below to see the amazing work!  For a complete gallery to view, go here.  - KCD
