Yes, I did it. I switched over to the new version of Squarespace and I absolutely love it - it's much easier to work with, much easier to create a blog post where I can load all the photos at once and rearrange if needed before publishing the post. Love it!
It also gave me the chance to show off my old work (Old School Photography) among other works of art that I didn't get a chance to add to the past website version. There are, however, a few recent photos from the 2012 holiday season that I didn't get a chance to blog - when I do, I will also add these photos to my portfolio.
I slaved away for a few days, even ALL DAY yesterday, from 7:15 am to 12:15 am this morning. Because I had completed this, I was so excited that I couldn't sleep for a while last night so I Netflix'ed some on my iPhone. Definitely helped me sleep.
All that work, was worth it. I worked so much the entire weekend. I did get to co-host a shower for a few hours on Saturday, and that was really nice. Then I got right to work right when I came home.
I'm really excited that I'm able to present more of what I do and how the process works for graphic design, photography and wedding photography. I also created a Wedding Photography Package brochure and it's being printed, just in time for the Deaf Women of Houston's Spring Fling expo I'll be having a booth at, this coming Sunday. I have yet to do the brochure for Graphic Design and Photography, and that'll be tonight! And that'll be the last major project to do. For now.
I can finally take a break this weekend! Well...just for a few hours this Saturday. Of course, I've gotta get stuff ready for the expo - gotta wow the customers.
I better respond to texts/email messages that I didn't get a chance to the past couple of days. March was definitely a busy month for me: two weddings, a website, a brochure, gala pieces for an organization, a photobook for a baby's first birthday, to name a few.
Thank you, my dear clients and my biggest supporters of my business. The business wouldn't be where if it weren't for the support and guidance you provided. THANK YOU. My husband Charles has been completely patient with the frazzled me the past few days. I am so grateful to him! Thank you baby!
Please enjoy the website and please let me know if you have any questions so I can add them to the FAQ list.
P.S. I assumed the new website look would be up TOMORROW, not today as it takes 48 hours to propagate. But, that was fast. And on April Fool's. Honestly, this website is no joke! It's here to stay....for maybe a year. I just may come up with a new look by then, haha!
