This has been the biggest photoshoot I ever did, to date. Never in my wildest dreams would I be approached to take photos of almost 200 kids in one single weekend. I could not just pass up the opportunity to do something different.
I was nervous, to be honest, about the photoshoot. Each dancers could only have a few minutes each as it was the day of rehearsal, also. It went more smoothly than I thought it would. The kids were really adorable, ranging from ages 3 to 13. Some were really shy and some were big time camera hams.
It truly was a great experience and I'm glad to have undergone it.
My husband Charles and I, shortly before shooting began, May 20th. (Thanks to my mom-in-law for capturing us in our work mode!)
Directing the little Swan dancers.
As for editing, that was quite a challenge. Finding the time to get them completed was daunting as I have a full-time job as a graphic designer for a restaurant company, also.
I finally completed the photos a little later than anticipated. Because of all this, I learned a lot about how to manage time more effectively.
Again, an eye-opening experience that I'm grateful to have had.
A HUGE thanks to my husband, Charles, our friend Sarah B. and my mother-in-law, Fay, for their tremendous assistance in the photoshoot. I wouldn't have made it out alive without them!
And lastly, if it weren't for Ms. Howard-Jett, I wouldn't have had this amazing opportunity. Thank you so much for enlisting me - I truly appreciate it!
